Edmonton Kyokushin Karate Club

The Edmonton Kyokushin Karate Club has been operating in Edmonton since
1980. Several members of our club have won titles in the Canadian and
International Karate Tournaments. The Chief Instructor of the club is Sensei
Mac Mierzejewski, a graduate from the University of Physical Education and
University of Alberta, with over 26 years of experience in martial arts.

Mac won:
Gold at Karate Kyokushinkai Championships of Poland—1982-86
Gold at Oyama's Cup (Poland)—1986
Gold (tameshwari) at European Championships Kyokushin Karate—1987
Gold at Mas Oyama's Canadian Kyokushinkai Tournament (open category)—1989
Gold at Mas Oyama's Asia-Pacific International Open Karate Tournament—1989
He also has won several Best Technique and Best Spirit Awards.
He won most of his fights with kick knockouts

The Edmonton Kyokushin Karate Club is affiliated with the International
Karate Organization, Kyokushinkai-kan, which embraces over 10 million
members in thousands of clubs world-wide. The Club sponsors many local
events such as tournaments, training camps and social gatherings.

We offer regular classes for children and adults teaching knock-down karate
(Kyokushin Karate) and ground fighting (Brazilian jiu-jitsu). For more
